Delivery
Where do you deliver?
We deliver to mainland Great Britain (England, Scotland and Wales). We do not deliver to Northern Ireland, the Scottish Islands, Isle of Man, Isle of Wight or Channel Islands.
How much does delivery cost? We charge a contribution towards post and packaging based on the number of boxes despatched. Our standard charge is £5.95 for the first box and £2.95 for each subsequent box although an additional surcharge applies to some areas of Northern Scotland. Some of our products attract a low rate charge of £1.50. Please CLICK HERE to see our detailed Post and Packaging Guide so that you know what to expect when you get to the check-out. CLICK HERE to see our Special Offers page as we often offer discounts on full boxes (which are the most cost effect for us to despatch) to offset some of the postage charge.
When will my order be despatched?
Orders are despatched from Monday to Thursday (excluding Bank Holidays) to avoid plants being held in transit over the weekend. You will receive an email notification once your order has been despatched.
For fresh herb orders placed between May and December we aim to despatch orders within two-four days of receipt, depending on the time and day of the week that the order is received. However, during the busy season please allow up to seven days before despatch.
Orders for fresh herb plants placed between January and April will be despatched as soon as the herbs are ready (we anticipate from mid-April onwards although we are dependent on the weather). They will be processed in order of receipt and you will be notified by email once the order has been despatched. Payment will be taken at the time of order.
Gift vouchers, herb seeds and gift items are despatched within two-four days of receipt all year round.
How long will delivery take? Fresh herb plants are sent by overnight carrier and should arrive the day after despatch although an exact time cannot be given. Orders for herb seeds, gift vouchers and other gift items are sent by Royal Mail and should arrive within 1 or 2 days of despatch.
What happens if I am not going to be in to take delivery?
Don't worry - you can specify an alternative delivery address when you place your order (please note that we will still need your address details to process payment) or, at the check-out, you can enter details of a safe place where our carriers can leave your parcel.
What happens if I am likely to be away when my order is despatched?
Please let us know your likely dates as soon as possible and, assuming that your order has not left the farm, we will delay despatch until your return. We cannot be held responsible for items delivered in your absence if we do not receive prior notification of the dates you will be away.
Can I arrange delivery to a different address eg. work or as a gift? Yes, there is facility for you to do this when you check-out. Please note that we will still need your address details to process payment. If you are sending items as a gift then we can personalise a gift card for you - just enter the required message in the box at the check-out.
Herbal Gifts - Standard Range
Can you give me more information about how the products are made? The products are handmade on a local farm in Cambridgeshire. They are made using botanical ingredients grown by the producers on their own land. The production methods are traditional. Herbs are dried naturally by the sun where drying is required. The calendula cream is not made by our supplier but is bought in from fellow producers sharing the same ideals for high quality and efficacy. We have tried all of the products we are offering for sale and can therefore happily recommend them to you.
Are the products safety tested?
Yes. Our supplier's products have been tested by an independent laboratory and comply with EC requirements for cosmetics.
Do they contain any artificial perfumes or colours? No. They contain only the perfume of the natural herb and its oils.
Are the products long lasting? They are very concentrated so a little goes a long way.
Are any of the products tested on animals? No, none of the products are tested on animals.
