Ocimum basilicum 'Horapha Nanum'

Thai basil has attractive, aniseed scented leaves with purple stems and flower shoots. Clusters of small purple flowers follow in summer.

An essential herb for Thai cuisine. Add towards the end of cooking to preserve flavour.

Prefers well drained, moist, medium rich soil and full sun. Place in a warm and sheltered position after all frosts have passed.

An excellent container plant. Keep outside in hot weather to develop the flavour.
