Whilst we are able to deliver to the Isle of Man, Northern Ireland and the Scottish Highlands, unfortunately we are charged significantly more than our standard rate to deliver to those areas and, as a small business, have to pass on that cost to our customers. We appreciate that for many potential customers this does not make it worthwhile placing an order.
We are often asked why we cannot simply send the plants by Royal Mail. This is something we have looked into but our packaging boxes are too big to qualify for the standard postal service.
Our plants are packed standing up and in their pots. They generally travel very well like this unless the box is turned upside down (this does occasionally happen). The only way to reduce the risk of spoiled plants is to send orders by overnight courier which even then is not guaranteed in remote areas (the best we can achieve is a 48 hour service).
If you live in any of the above areas and wish to place an order the following postal charges will apply:
For postcodes AB31-38, AB40-56, IV1-28, IV30-32, IV36 & 40, IV52-54, IV63, KW1-14, PA21-38, PH4-41, PH49, PH50 and Northern Ireland the charge is £21 for the first box (up to 10 plants) and £3.50 for each subsequent box.
For postcodes HS, IV41-49, IV51, IV55 & 56, KA27 & 28, KW15-17, PA20, PA41-49, PA60-78, PH42-44, ZE and the Isle of Man the charge is £29 for the first box (up to 10 plants) and £5.00 for each subsequent box.
These charges are automatically applied at the checkout.
For those customers who are happy to receive bare root plants, we can send these via Royal Mail although this is not a service we can offer during peak periods (April-June). If you would like to receive plants in this way please email us first and we will advise on the suitability of the herbs to be transported by this method.
Please note that we are only able to send fresh herb plants to those destinations listed above and not any other offshore locations.
